Natural Re-sasters is a documentary-style short film set in the year 2067, exploring humanity’s innovative efforts to re-channel energy from natural disasters. Created as an entry for Motionographer’s Challenge Your World Motion Design Competition, this passion project was a collaboration with my colleagues at Digital Kitchen, completed in our free time.

As Motion Designer and Animator, I contributed to the visual storytelling, crafting dynamic animations that brought the futuristic concept to life. The project’s retro 1950s aesthetic—complete with vintage typography, grainy film textures, and mid-century design elements—created a striking contrast with its futuristic narrative, making it both nostalgic and forward-thinking. This unique blend of speculative science and retro-futurism resonated with audiences, earning it the People’s Choice Award.
